Register
First you will need to tell us some simple basic information about yourself in order to submit your story. We need your name, address and e-mail address. You will choose a password to ensure you have confidential future access to our site.

Tell your story
Enter Your Story into our simple on-line form. You must tell the truth and avoid any false accusations, libellous statements or offensive language. Once you have entered your story (up to a maximum of 2,000 words) you will then need to select the location for 'Your Story'. This will be your local village, town or city. This location will be the search tool for visitors to grapevine to find your story. Its as simple as that!

Our legal team check your story
When we receive your story our legal team will examine the text thoroughly for anything that may cause concern, eg: libel, false accusation, profanity etc. If necessary, we will amend your story to ensure that it complies with the law.

Sign and return “Approval” document
We then e-mail you a link to an approved version of your story in your Customer Control Panel. Once you agree to its contents, just click a button to approve it and in a short time, it's on the grapevine!

Guarantor
If your story is contentious, we may ask you to provide the phone number of a guarantor so that we can speak directly to them and verify that your story is accurate. Should a guarantor be needed, he/she has to be someone of standing, someone who knows you, and someone who is willing to confirm to us, in confidence, that your story is true. This has no legal implications or risk for the guarantor whose name will never appear on the grapevine site, this is merely to enable us to be sure that in publishing your story we are certain of its accuracy.

Your story goes live to the world!
Your story will then appear on our website, listed under your chosen location, for the world to read.
You will be assigned a personal grapevine confidante/buddy who will deal with any future queries you may have. Your confidante/buddy at grapevine will be individual to you and your permanent friend at grapevine.

Guarantor
Please ensure your story is acceptable on first copy. Hey, we're not prudes at grapevine, we like a good juicy story with plenty of detail, just keep it clean and truthful please!
Kids on grapevine
If you are under the age of 16 and have a great story, grapevine will publish it free. Kids that have been bullied or abused who would like to tell their story, or indeed NAME AND SHAME, will always be free on grapevine.
Don't be shy; let everyone know you are being hurt. Don't let them get away with it.
It could be a great time at school, on holiday, a party or a sporting success. It's up to you.
